SimpleSUB is moving to a new subscription management platform!
This update will let you add or update your payment method directly in your Web App, creating a more seamless, secure, and flexible billing experience.
Benefits of the Update
- Simplified billing management: View and manage subscriptions directly from the Web App.
- Better visibility and control: Easily manage your payment method and view your billing information within the Web App.
- Improved autopay experience: Reliable, secure, and fully integrated with Stripe.
Steps:
- Log in to your account at app.simplesubwater.com
- You’ll see an orange banner at the top of the screen prompting you to add a payment method.
Note: Even if you bill your tenants for water usage, a payment method is still required on your SimpleSUB Water account. Property owners and account holders remain responsible for the ongoing SimpleSUB Water service fees, which are billed separately from tenant invoices.
- Click the profile icon (top right corner) and select Settings. From there, go to Manage Billing to view your billing details, including invoices and payment methods.
- Service fee invoices are available in the web app through the Manage Billing section.
- To download your SimpleSUB Water service fee invoices:
- Log in to the Web App.
- Click the profile icon in the top-right corner.
- Select Settings.
- Open Manage Billing.
- View or download your available service fee invoices.
- To download your SimpleSUB Water service fee invoices:
- Invoices for meter purchases are not available in the web app. If you need a copy of a meter purchase invoice, don't hesitate to contact SimpleSUB support to have it resent.
- Choose your preferred billing option — Monthly or Annual — then click Add Payment Method.
Note: If you would like to change your existing billing cycle (for example, from monthly to annual billing or vice versa), this change cannot be completed directly in the web app. Please contact SimpleSUB Water support to request the change.
- You’ll be redirected to Stripe, where you can add a credit card or bank account (ACH).
- If adding a bank account, you can either log in to your bank or enter the details manually.
- Note: Bank verification takes 1–2 business days.
- Once your information is entered, click Save.
- You’ll be redirected back to the Web App and see confirmation that your payment method was successfully added.
- To update or change your payment method later, click Manage Payment Methods in your settings. (This is where you can also update your billing information.)
- The SimpleSUB team will then create your subscription for the next billing cycle, and the cost will update under General Settings.
Note: If you already have autopay set up in QuickBooks, your existing subscription will be automatically canceled once you add a new default payment method.
