Device Pricing Breakdown
Your total subscription cost is cumulative and depends entirely on the specific devices installed at your property. While standard pricing is shown for monthly and yearly cycles, quarterly billing is also available upon request to fit your budget workflow.

Payment Terms & Billing Options
1. Payment Methods & Automation
To ensure uninterrupted data tracking, SimpleSUB Water utilizes automated recurring payments. Property owners or account holders must link a valid payment method within the web app portal to facilitate automatic billing cycles.
2. Selecting or Changing Your Billing Cycle
- New Customers (Initial Setup): When adding your payment method for the first time during account setup, you can select the Annual Subscription or Monthly option directly in the portal.
- Custom Changes (Switching plans or requesting Quarterly Billing): If you want to switch your active plan, or if you would like to opt into our Quarterly Billing cycle, our support team will handle this for you:
- Log into the web app.
- Open the Support Chatbot located in the lower-right corner of your screen to request the change (e.g., "I'd like to switch to quarterly billing").
- Our team will update your account intervals on the backend and send an invoice for the updated balance directly to your email.
Important Billing Policies
When do fees begin?
The service fee activates as soon as your submeters are installed. To account for setup time, customers receive a 30-day grace period from the time of purchase/shipping. At the conclusion of these 30 days, the subscription fee activates automatically regardless of installation status.
Recouping Fees via Tenants
💡 Utility Fee Pass-Through: While the primary account holder is legally responsible for paying the subscription to SimpleSUB Water, most customers pass this cost directly to their tenants as a line-item "service charge" or utility fee on their monthly water bills.
Note: Many states fully allow property owners to recoup operating costs incurred by submetering systems, but some jurisdictions restrict the amount. Please verify your local state and city regulations.
Non-Payment Consequences
Maintaining an active subscription is required to keep your meters functioning. Failure to pay the ongoing service fee will result in:
- Loss of Web App Access: You will lose access to live reporting, automated billing tools, and leak alerts.
- Warranty Downgraded: Your extended hardware warranty will permanently revert to a standard two-year warranty.
How is my total bill calculated?
Your total cost is cumulative. It is calculated by adding up the individual subscription rates for all active devices installed across your property.
